Privacy Policy

Privacy should be clear.

This policy explains how REM Play handles information through remplay.dev and the REM Merge mobile game.

Effective: September 9, 2026

1. Who we are

REM Play is the developer and publisher of REM Merge. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@remplay.dev.

2. This website

remplay.dev is a static website. REM Play does not currently use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts, contact forms, or marketing cookies on this website. Our hosting and network providers may process ordinary technical request data, such as IP addresses and request metadata, as necessary to deliver and protect the site.

3. REM Merge

REM Merge is a single-player number-merging puzzle. It does not require a REM Play account and does not ask for your name or email address to play.

Gameplay progress and preferences such as settings, board state, theme, language, and related game state are stored locally on your device. REM Play does not currently operate a cloud service that uploads your board state.

4. Advertising and consent

Distributed builds of REM Merge may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show restrained interstitial advertising. Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to request and manage privacy choices where required. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google’s services, advertising services may process device information, app interactions, diagnostics, consent signals, and advertising-related identifiers or signals.

REM Merge is configured to remove the classic Android advertising-ID permission, disable Google publisher first-party ID, and gate ad requests through UMP where applicable. These measures reduce data use but do not mean that advertising services process no device signals.

5. Analytics and crash reporting

When configured in a distributed build, REM Merge may use GameAnalytics for product analytics and Firebase Crashlytics for stability and crash reporting. Analytics may include gameplay or app-usage events and technical device or operating-system information. Crash reporting may include crash logs, stack traces, device model, operating-system information, and related diagnostics.

REM Play does not intentionally send names, email addresses, purchase receipts, purchase tokens, or a custom REM Play user ID to these services. Advertising-ID tracking is disabled for GameAnalytics.

6. Purchases

REM Merge may offer an optional one-time “Remove Ads” purchase through Google Play. Google Play processes the transaction and payment information. REM Play does not operate its own payment system or store your payment-card details. The game may retain a local indication that the entitlement is owned so that it can provide the purchased feature.

7. Third-party services

REM Merge may rely on services provided by Google (Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, UMP, Firebase Crashlytics) and GameAnalytics. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Their processing can vary by platform, region, configuration, and consent choice.

8. Retention and deletion

Local gameplay data remains on your device until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app, subject to Android or Google Play backup behavior outside REM Play’s direct control. Data processed by third-party services is retained according to the applicable provider settings and policies. If you contact REM Play for support, we retain the correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

You can contact support@remplay.dev with a privacy or deletion request. Because REM Merge currently has no REM Play account or REM Play cloud profile, there may be no account data for us to delete.

9. Security

REM Play aims to minimize the information it processes and uses platform and service-provider security controls appropriate to the features described above. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

REM Merge is not designed as a child-directed service. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to REM Play. Store target-audience settings and advertising configuration will be maintained consistently with the audience selected for each release.

11. Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights concerning personal data, including access, deletion, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of consent. Where UMP provides privacy options in REM Merge, those choices can be revisited from the game’s privacy settings when required. You may also contact support@remplay.dev.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as REM Merge, our service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL and the effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
